The North Central All Progressive Congress (APC) Forum has warned groups planning to protest across the nation against the government to rethink and retrace their steps, stating that such actions will be detrimental to the country’s progress during this critical period.
The forum asserted that Bola Tinubu is doing his best to reposition the country and guide it towards greatness, emphasizing that he requires support rather than distractions from protests.
The forum’s Chairman, Saleh Mandung Zazzaga, made these statement while speaking with journalists in Jos, the Plateau State capital, on Monday, expressing their opposition to any form of protest.
According to Zazzaga, those calling for protests are not motivated by love for the country but by selfish reasons and the desire to gain cheap political points. He claimed that many of these individuals are sponsored by forces opposed to the government and the nation.
He also warned protesters not to consider staging any protests in the North Central region, citing the current security challenges the area is facing. He noted that President Tinubu is addressing these issues through security operatives.

However, he cautioned that any protest in the region could be hijacked by hoodlums, leading to mayhem and threatening the lives and properties of law-abiding citizens.
He sited the ongoing issues of kidnappings, banditry, and other violent incidents in the region, Zazzaga stressed that the region cannot afford additional turmoil.
Moreso, he pointed out that protests in parts of the region and the North often take on an ethno-religious dimension, resulting in clashes and killings between Christians and Muslims.
