NSCDC CG Deploys Undercover Agents to Protect Schools Across Nigeria

The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ahmed Audi, has ordered the immediate deployment of undercover security agents to schools and host communities in the North-West region and various parts of the country.

This step comes in the wake of growing concerns over the security of schools, particularly in the North-West zone, where such institutions have become targets for bandit attacks.

Audi directed the undercover agents to collaborate closely with the respective state ministries of education and other key stakeholders.

This was disclosed during the closing ceremony of a rigorous capacity-building program for the Safe Schools Response Team, which took place in Kaduna State.

The training program, facilitated by the National Safe Schools Response Coordination Centre, saw the participation of over 200 NSCDC personnel, local vigilantes, and representatives from various stakeholders.

With this development, the NSCDC, in conjunction with other stakeholders, seeks to fortify the security of schools and host communities in the North-West zone and other vulnerable areas, ensuring a safer learning environment for students and educational staff alike.
