NSCDC Launches VIP Protection Unit

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has launched a VIP Protection Unit.

This new division of the NSCDC is tasked with guarding people whose status makes them vulnerable to danger.

On Friday, at the Corps headquarters in Abuja, there was a ceremony to give off the first group of 501 soldiers who had been trained for the new responsibilities. VIP security and protection have always been a part of the NSCDC’s mission, according to Commandant General Ahmed Audi, who made this statement during the Passing Out Parade.

Audi, represented at the occasion by the ACG in charge of Agro Rangers, Austine Obiekwe, urged the personnel to be good ambassadors of the Corps in their places of assignment.

He warned that any personnel “caught in acts that could put the Corps in a bad light would be punished”.
