Our Country is Big, We Won’t Always See Eye-to-Eye on Everything — Obama Breaks Silence on Harris’ Loss to Trump

Former President Barack Obama has commented on Kamala Harris’ recent loss to Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election, emphasising the importance of unity and the democratic process.

In a statement released on Wednesday, Obama said that although this outcome was not what he had hoped for, he and former First Lady Michelle Obama extended congratulations to Trump and his running mate, JD Vance, on their victory.

He stated, “Living in a democracy is about recognising that our point of view won’t always win out, and being willing to accept the peaceful transfer of power.
