Obi, Datti Pay Condolence Visit to Na’Abba

The Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate in the recent general elections, Mr. Peter Obi, and his running mate, Datti Ahmed, extended their condolences with a visit to the family of the late Speaker Ghali Umar Na’abba in Kano State.

Alongside other politicians and party members, the duo paid their respects at Na’Abba’s residence around 1 pm on Saturday.

According to a post on his X handle, Peter Obi stated that he was in Kano State with Dr Datti Baba-Ahmed to condole with the family of Late Hon Ghali Umar Na’Abba, who passed on recently.

“I was in Kano State today with my brother, Dr Datti Baba-Ahmed to condole with the family of Late Hon Ghali Umar Na’Abba, former who passed on recently. Before his death, Na’Abba served our dear nation as the 8th Speaker of House of Representatives from 1999 to 2003.

“He was known for his courage and firmness in the discharge of his legislative duties. I remember meeting him severally and we would discuss the challenges of our nation. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones in this difficult time.

“May God Almighty forgive his sins and grant him eternal rest and grant his family, the good people of Kano State and all of us who mourn him, the fortitude to bear his loss. He stated.
