Time for All Obidients to Pick Up Labour Party Membership Card is NOW

Dear High-Spirited Obidients,

I trust this message finds you well and in good spirits. There has been a resounding call for a well-defined structure within the Labour Party, especially following the events and controversies that marred the last general election, in which our visionary leader, Peter Gregory Obi, was a prominent stakeholder.

Many of us have felt the urgent need for a stronger, more cohesive party organization to support our movement’s goals and ideals as a people.

In response to this call, and after several thoughtful engagements with the public on X by our principal, Peter Obi, the appointment of Dr. Yunusa Tanko as the Global Coordinator of the Obidients Movement was made. Dr. Tanko is a man whose integrity, track record, and dedication have stood the test of time, making him a perfect fit for this crucial role.

Additionally, His Excellency, the Governor of Abia State—widely regarded as one of Nigeria’s most efficient and transformative leaders—has recently convened an extended stakeholders’ meeting.

This gathering was essential in facilitating the emergence of a new National Working Committee (NWC) tasked with organizing an all-inclusive national convention. This development marks a critical turning point, putting an end to the era of the sit-tight leadership under Julius Abure, who had overstayed his welcome in the party’s leadership.

With these achievements now in place, we, as dedicated members of this revolutionary movement, cannot afford to remain passive observers. It is our duty to ensure that the Labour Party, the very platform from which Peter Obi is contesting for the presidency, does not falter. We [obidients] must not allow a few corrupt and misguided individuals to hijack the party’s future for their selfish gains.

We [obidients] are all acutely aware of what is at stake for Nigeria: the birth of a new nation rooted in equity, justice, and progress. Now is not the time for complacency or for mere social media activism. The time has come for those of us with the vision, integrity, and refined minds to step up and take active roles in shaping the direction of the party. We must join its leadership ranks, contribute meaningfully to decision-making processes, and ensure that we steer the party toward a brighter future.

Let us be the change-makers, setting the atmosphere right and leading by example.

God bless the Obidients Movement,
God bless His Excellency, Peter Obi,
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
