Official: Chelsea Announces Infinite Athlete as Sponsor

Chelsea Football Club has officially announced a partnership between the club and Infinite Athlete as the new shirt sponsor for the 2023–24 season. The deal is worth over £40 million.

This was announced via Chelsea’s official page. The Infinite Athlete (IA) will also have a long-term partnership with the London club, although not necessarily in terms of shirt capacity. Playing kit sleeve sponsorship can’t be ruled out in the coming seasons.

Chelsea kicked off the 2023–24 season without a front-of-shirt sponsor, playing with a blank jersey. They’ve played six games in their EPL, gathering five points. They’ve played seven games this season, including a cup game against Wimbledon and Brighton.

Chelsea and IA plan to co-create new products using groundbreaking technology and have already launched Match View X (AI technology) on Chelsea’s official app. This is supposed to enhance fan engagement, which will put Chelsea on better financial ground.

Chelsea CEO Chris Jurasek: “From the outset, it was clear the potential Infinite Athlete has in leveraging technology to unlock competitive advantage and enhance the fan experience. We have a like-minded partner in Infinite Athlete.”

The IA CO founder, Infinite Athletic, said, “Debuting our new global entity, Infinite Athlete, on the front of the legendary Chelsea kit is a great honour, and we are humbled by the opportunity to be able to continue this journey alongside the best in the world.”

Chelsea FC informs interested parties that the shirts with IA on them will be available to purchase “soon”.

Chelsea will play Fulham on Monday, October 2. The game would be the first game this season that Chelsea plays with a front-of-shirt sponsor (IA).
