FLASHBACK: How Tinubu’s Media Aide, Olusegun, Called for Protests Against Jonathan’s Govt, Now Threatens Current Protesters

Recent investigations have revealed that Dada Olusegun, the Special Assistant on Social Media to Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu, previously championed protests against former President Goodluck Jonathan’s government.

In 2012, during the “Occupy Nigeria” protests, Olusegun actively supported and encouraged demonstrations through various social media posts.

Olusegun’s posts during that period included statements such as, “Every Nigerian has a right to protest. Its a fundamental right! If you don’t buy the opinion, don’t instill feel into them. That’s evil!

In another post during the protest, he wrote, “Maybe we don’t need peaceful protest anymore.”

He equally articulated, “The next protest would be mother of them all. We won’t leave the streets until GEJ is out of aso rock.”

Fast forward to the present, Olusegun is now issuing warnings to Nigerian youths planning protests against the current government.

In a recent post on his official X handle, he stated, “Those who want to burn the country down under whatever guise will meet the strongest resistance of their lives. Not from security agencies, but from the silent majority that gave their mandate to Bola Ahmed Tinubu for four years in the first instance. We are waiting,” he added.
