Paris 2024 Olympics: Oborududu Advances to Semi-Finals in Women’s Wrestling

Nigeria’s Blessing Oborududu has advanced to the semi-finals of the women’s 68kg wrestling event at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

On Monday, Oborududu secured her place by defeating Canadian wrestler Linda Morais with an 8-2 victory in the quarterfinals.

Oborududu, ranked 6th in the world, will face Kyrgyzstan’s Meerim Zhumanazarova in the semifinals.

The match is scheduled to take place at the Champ-de-Mars Arena in Paris at 8 pm local time.

Zhumanazarova, ranked 16th in the world, is a freestyle wrestler and holds the title of Master of Sport of International Class in Kyrgyzstan.
