The 2023 Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, has stated that Nigerian leaders do not need eight years in office to make a meaningful impact.
Obi made this statement on Saturday in a special Anniversary Sabbath service held at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Umuahia, to mark two years of the administration of Governor Alex Otti in Abia State.
Obi said that he has heard comments that prolonged years are what is enough to make a difference in power.

He, however, countered such comments, noting that one day is enough to make a difference.
“We have come to celebrate two years with a difference. People have always said that they need eight years, they need ten years, they need twenty years.
“But, I have always said that one day can make a difference.”

He praised the Abia Governor for his achievements in office in two years, declaring that the Governor has made a difference in governance in Abia.
He also called on the people of Abia State to pray for Governor Otti and his Commissioners.
