Social commentator Shehu Gazali Sadiq has urged opposition supporters in Lagos State to “arm themselves to the teeth” against what he described as “Sanwo-Olu and Tinubu’s thugs” in the 2027 elections.
In a post on X, Sadiq declared, “Opposition in Lagos state should arm themselves to the teeth against Sanwo-Olu and Tinubu’s thugs in 2027.
“Enough of playing the victim. Fight back and let everywhere scatter. 2027 will be serious business.”
The post drew swift reactions from other Nigerians on the X (formerly twitter).
User @prince dee wrote, “I’m carrying my licensed gun and I’ve been saying it — I want see the thug that day.”
Another, @frankofbiafara, added, “The police, DSS and Army backs them.
“It was clearly shown during @GRVlagos rods outting. Lagosians should prepare for WAR.”

Some users echoed Sadiq’s combative stance. @nsuhoreidem said, “Examples must be set especially at Lagos otherwise these jobless wannabes will think they’re superior in trouble making.”
Meanwhile, @hungryNigerian warned, “If you go to polling unit without at least 2 by 2 planks then you are on your own… APC is a terrorist party so beware.”
Their reactions come amid the All Progressives Congress’ (APC) violent acts against the opposition in Lagos and other states ahead of the 2027 elections.
