Galatasaray began their 2024/25 UEFA Europa League campaign with a 3-1 victory over Greek side PAOK at RAMS Park.
The Turkish club controlled the game from the outset, with Victor Osimhen almost opening the scoring early.
Despite a few opportunities for PAOK, Galatasaray took the lead after an own goal by Baba Rahman, a former Chelsea player.
PAOK levelled the score through Giannis Konstantelias, but Galatasaray responded quickly with goals from Yunus Akgün and Mauro Icardi to secure the win.
The result gives Galatasaray a strong start in their quest to qualify for the knockout stages of the competition.
