Governor Dr. Alex Otti has called for immediate and severe punishment for naval personnel involved in a recent salon assault in Aba, Abia State. His stance was relayed by his Deputy Chief of Staff, Nedu Ekeke on his verified handle on X.
The incident saw the officers forcibly subduing salon staff and clients, leading to the disappearance of a customer’s phone. The ensuing confusion mistakenly pointed blame at a barber. However, CCTV footage revealed a naval officer as the culprit.

Seeking justice, the distressed customer turned to nearby Army personnel, only to face further aggression. The Commanding Officer of the implicated battalion expressed his dismay at the situation. He pledged to uphold Otti’s demand for strict repercussions, underlining the importance of setting a deterrent for future transgressions.
