A significant number of rockets were launched from Lebanon into northern Israel overnight, as reported by the Israeli army, with Hezbollah targeting industrial and military sites.
Of the 105 rockets fired, most were intercepted, although some homes sustained damage.
Air raid sirens were activated throughout the night, according to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
Hezbollah claimed the strikes were in retaliation for recent attacks involving pagers and walkie-talkies.
Meanwhile, Israel has continued its military operations in Lebanon, following an airstrike in Beirut last Friday that reportedly killed several high-ranking Hezbollah commanders.
Lebanon has reported a total of 37 fatalities from these airstrikes, including three children.
Unverified video footage circulating online appears to show a fire in a residential area near Haifa caused by a Hezbollah rocket.

On Saturday, the IDF announced extensive airstrikes in southern Lebanon, prompted by indications of further Hezbollah rocket launches.
Earlier strikes reportedly destroyed around 180 sites and numerous rocket launchers.
This escalation follows two days of explosions from devices used by Hezbollah, resulting in 39 deaths and thousands injured.
Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah condemned Israel for these incidents and promised retaliation. The Israeli government has not taken responsibility for the attacks.
UN human rights chief Volker Türk criticized the pager and walkie-talkie explosions, stating they contravened international humanitarian law.
In response to the escalating conflict, the IDF announced new restrictions in northern Israel and parts of the southern Golan Heights, limiting gatherings and advising on educational activities and work attendance.
As tensions rise, the US State Department has issued travel warnings, urging American citizens in Lebanon to leave while commercial travel options are still available. Similarly, Jordan’s foreign ministry has advised its citizens in Lebanon to depart promptly.
The situation intensified on October 8, 2023, following an attack on Israel by Hamas, with Hezbollah’s subsequent cross-border actions further escalating hostilities.
Israel’s Defense Minister Yoav Gallant indicated that the country is entering a “new phase of the war,” with increased focus on northern operations.
