Fubara

In a recent verbal exchange, Governor Siminalayi Fubara didn’t mince words as he accused former governor and current FCT Minister Nyesom Wike of being more talk than action.

In a recent video posted on Saturday, Governor Fubara, emphasizing his accounting background, asserted, “Our own is one talk, quick to action,” indirectly contrasting himself with Wike, who is not only a politician but also a prominent lawyer.

Fubara’s words, “We are accountants, We are not lawyers, who will talk talk talk and use talk to full house dem no go fit do one thing, Our own is one talk, Quick to action.”

Tensions between the two politicians have reached a boiling point, resulting in the defection of 27 lawmakers from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In response, Governor Fubara ordered the demolition of the Assembly Complex, citing the need for reconstruction after a suspicious “arson attack” on October 29th.

The ongoing power struggle between the governor and the FCT Minister revolves around control of the state’s political structure.
