Pastor’s Phone Snatched Mid-Sermon During Facebook Live in London

A shocking theft unfolded live on social media as Pastor Isaac Anderson’s phone was stolen while he led a prayer session on Facebook Live in Walthamstow, London.

The Ghanaian pastor was preaching on Hoe Street around 6:30 a.m. when two masked cyclists approached.

As Anderson continued his sermon unaware, the pair doubled back and snatched his iPhone 16 Pro Max from his hands.

A nearby bus driver attempted to alert him by honking repeatedly, but the warning came too late.

Unbeknownst to the thieves, the phone continued streaming. One of them was heard saying, “Hey JP, he’s on TikTok… No fam. How do I end it? It’s on Facebook.”

His accomplice, realizing they were being broadcast, muttered, “Oh s**,” while trying to hide his face.

Later, Pastor Anderson addressed the incident online, saying: “All of a sudden, someone from behind on a bike just came and snatched my phone… It’s not easy. All my information was on it.” He urged viewers to stay vigilant: “Be careful about your phones and your important stuff. Thieves, burglars and robbers are everywhere. This is London…”

The incident underscores a troubling trend: phone thefts in London have tripled over the past four years. In 2024 alone, over 70,000 devices were reported stolen, many trafficked overseas.

In response, the Metropolitan Police have ramped up efforts to combat the surge, deploying undercover officers, e-bikes, and helicopters to track and apprehend offenders.
