A former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has mocked the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) over its ongoing internal crisis, saying the drama within the troubled party is becoming quite dramatic.
Fayose’s remarks came just hours after a faction of the PDP National Working Committee suspended the acting National Chairman, Umar Damagum, and the National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu, citing alleged disloyalty to the party.
However, on Friday, Fayose, who has recently been refuting claims that he is leaving the PDP, stated that he is simply observing the unfolding events within the party.
“PDP: It is becoming such an exciting drama. Let’s siddon dey look and see how it ends,” Fayose said on his X account on Friday.
The main opposition party, the PDP, has been plagued by internal conflicts, with no signs that the crisis will end anytime soon.
Earlier, a faction of the National Working Committee (NWC) loyal to Umar Damagum announced the suspension of the National Legal Adviser, Kamaldeen Ajibade, and the National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, accusing them of disloyalty to the party.
