Peter Obi Applauds Police for Rescuing Retired AIG’s Kidnapped Wife, Urges Equal Action for All Nigerians

Peter Obi, the Labour Party 2023 presidential candidate has commended the Nigeria Police Force for their rapid and efficient rescue of Mrs. Folashade Odumusu, the wife of retired Assistant Inspector General of Police, Hakeem Odumusu.

The operation, conducted within a week, not only ensured the victim’s safety but also led to the neutralization of kidnappers, recovery of weapons, and retrieval of the ransom paid.

Obi described the successful rescue as a testament to the police’s ability to act decisively when motivated.

The Ogun State Police Command, which spearheaded the mission, acknowledged the technical support provided by the Force Headquarters and the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun.

Obi highlighted that the outcome of this case reflects the potential within Nigeria’s security agencies when leadership, motivation, and resources are effectively aligned.

While praising the operation, Obi emphasized the need for the same level of urgency and professionalism in addressing kidnapping cases involving ordinary Nigerians.
