A social media commentator and pharmacist, Abu Amir, has expressed confidence in the ability of the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 election, Peter Obi, to transform Nigeria if given the opportunity to lead the country.
Reacting to Obi’s recent remarks about his readiness to contest again in 2027, Amir stated via his X handle on Friday that if Bola Tinubu could “destroy” the nation’s system in two years, then Peter Obi could “change it for good in four years.”
He wrote, “If Tinubu can destroy it in two years, Peter Obi can change it for good in four years. New Nigeria is Possible!”
Obi, while speaking to journalists in Abuja on Wednesday, had reaffirmed his intention to run in the 2027 presidential election, assuring his supporters that he would be on the ballot.
The former Anambra State governor also expressed confidence in his competence and capacity to lead Nigeria toward positive change.

“I am contesting, and I am sure I will be on the ballot. People will have to look at who is competing, who has the capacity, who has everything,” Obi said.
“I think I am qualified; I have the capacity to do the job. I will say it over and over again that, in four years, I can change the trajectory of Nigeria to a positive one,” he added.
Obi’s comment has since generated widespread reactions among Nigerians, with many expressing optimism about his message of hope and transformation.
