According to him, “I can only imagine the trauma of these young ones, sadly, witnessing such a tragic occurrence, and even their parents, who are undoubtedly worried about the safety of the children.

Obi sympathized with the government of the state, the management and staff of the affected school and the families of those affected.
He however pleaded with the government to investigate the cause of such incident to avoid a repetition of such in the future.
He further prayed for the deceased that their soul will rest in perfect peace while praying for safe recovery for those injured, and recovery of those still trapped.
“I sympathize with the Government and People of Plateau State, the management, staff, and students of the school, and the families of all the victims affected.

“My sincere prayers are with the remaining trapped children and teachers for their safe rescue.
“May God grant eternal rest to the dead, give their families the fortitude to bear the painful loss, and grant quick recovery to the injured,”he said.
