While expressing his happiness about the great achievement by these two women, Obi took to his X handle on Thursday and wrote, “Thrilled by the remarkable achievements of fellow Nigerians who have continued to distinguish themselves on the global stage, I once again like to celebrate them.

“These exceptional personalities have continued to rise above their challenges and achieve greatness in different fields of endeavour.

“I would firstly love to celebrate a Nigerian-British lawyer, Sandie Okoro, who has just been appointed the New Chancellor of the University of Birmingham, and the first-ever woman to hold the admirable position.

“She has, before now, held many highly placed positions, where she has continued to fight against injustice and promote equality in society.”
