Nigeria’s Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi, has congratulated the Labour Party Prime Ministerial Candidate in the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, after defeating the incumbent government led by Rishi Sunak in Thursday’s election.
Labour’s landslide victory in the general election ended 14 years of Conservative rule.
In his congratulatory tweet today, Obi urged the newly elected Prime Minister to remain committed to his electoral promises.

“I sincerely congratulate @Keir_Starmer, and the Labour Party UK on the landslide victory they recorded in Thursday’s election.
