Former Anambra State Governor and 2023 Labour Party’s Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi, has donated N20 million to Faith Foundation Mission Hospital in Nsukka, Enugu State, to support the construction of a College of Nursing Sciences.
Obi made the donation during a visit to the hospital over the weekend.
He said the donation was in line with his commitment to investing in critical areas of national development, including health, education, and poverty eradication.
“Healthcare workers are at the center of Primary Healthcare delivery, which is the foundation of any credible healthcare system,” Obi said. “We must, therefore, take the training of healthcare workers more seriously, especially now that our dear nation and the global world are running short of these healthcare professionals.”
