“Police Tried to Inject Me With Unknown Substance; NCCC Deputy Director Sprayed Toxic Substance in My FCID Cell,” PIDOM Revealed

Isaac Tamunoibifiri Bristol, accused by the Nigeria Police Force of being the prominent anonymous online whistleblower PIDOM Nigeria has said that the Deputy Director (DCP) of the National Cybercrime Centre (NCCC) visited his cell and sprayed an unknown substance.

He also revealed that while he was in custody at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), an unsuccessful attempt was made to inject him with an unidentified substance.

Bristol said this in an exclusive phone conversation with West Africa Weekly shortly after his court appearance.

According to Bristol, Since then, he reported feeling very ill, experiencing severe breathing difficulties.

During the conversation, Bristol’s labored breathing was evident, accompanied by constant wheezing and coughing.

The use of aerosolized chemicals and injected poisons has historically been a method favored by Nigerian security and intelligence agencies for assassinating high-profile political prisoners.

In light of Bristol’s claims, there are growing concerns that his health may have been seriously compromised by the police before his arraignment and transfer to Kuje Prison.

However, Bristol’s oral bail application deferred today at the Federal High Court in Abuja by Justice Emeka Nwite.

Bristol’s lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, is preparing to submit a written bail application, which has a statutory seven-day response period. In the meantime, Bristol has been remanded at Kuje Prison for a minimum of seven days.
