The brutal Massacre on Christmas Eve in Plateau that left over 70 people feared killed and many injured, have sparked a wave of indignation among Nigerians on social media.

Concerns were also raised about the effectiveness of the Nigerian Army in dealing with the crisis.
User @n6oflife6 questioned, “Is The @HQNigerianArmy honestly saying they can’t CURE this Killer Herdsmen Crisis esp in Plateau?” This comment underscores the public’s expectation for the military to take decisive action against the perpetrators.
The scale of the massacre was highlighted by @ZariyiYusufu, who noted, “About 120 innocent civilians massacred on the Plateau on Christmas Eve despite an earlier alert (almost 72hrs) of sighting movement of jihadi fighters.”
