Police Apprehend 23-Year-Old Man for Stealing 23 Cows in Gombe

The Gombe State Police Command recently apprehended Adamu Maikudi, a 23-year-old resident of Mai Rana village in Billiri Local Government Area, for the theft of 23 cows from Golombi village, Shongom Local Government Area.

Despite Maikudi’s arrest, two other suspects involved in the incident remain at large.

Assistant Superintendent of Police Mahid Muazu Abubakar, the Public Relations Officer of the state police command, disclosed that Maikudi had sold the cows, which belonged to Anchau Maishanu.

Maishanu had reported the theft at the Pero Chonge Divisional Police headquarters, alleging that Maikudi and two others had conspired to steal and sell his livestock from Golombi village.

“Maishanu reported at Pero Chonge Divisional Police headquarters that three suspects, including Maikudi, conspired among themselves and stole his 23 cows from Golombi village and sold them.

“The case was reported, and an investigation was carried out where Maikudi was arrested and all the exhibits were recovered,” Mahid stated.
