Lagos State Police Command has successfully captured the notorious traffic robber plaguing the Ijora Badia area.
The suspect, identified as 18-year-old Olawale Odunsi, had eluded authorities for the past six months.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the command’s Public Relations Officer, confirmed the arrest on Thursday, revealing that intelligence gathering by the Ijora Badia Division led to the apprehension.
Odunsi, infamous for his involvement in numerous traffic robberies around Iganmu and Ijora under Bridge areas, was described by victims as a deadly attacker recognizable by his dreadlocks.
Hundeyin stated, “Many victims of the suspect described him as a deadly attacker with his dreadlocks.
“He evaded arrest several times in the past. Fortunately, on Tuesday, at about 3:30pm., acting on intel gathered that the suspect and his terror gang members were about to operate at Iganmu under the bridge.
