Officers of the Nigeria Police Force, Niger State Command have nabbed three suspected armed robbers who snatched a Toyota Camry salon car from a Niger State resident using a toy gun.
Umar Mukhtar, a 25-year-old resident of Okada Road, Minna, with 30-year-old Shuaibu Ahmed, of the same address and Mohammed Ibrahim Abba, a 25-year-old of Tafa, Kaduna State, were led by one Mustapha of Angwan-Kaje area of Minna to a residence in Bosso Estate for the purpose of robbery.
They demanded money from their victim but did not get any. While they were contemplating their next action, the wife of the victim drove into the house with a Toyota Camry with Reg. No KNT 785 SN. The robbers quickly attacked the woman and collected the car at ‘gunpoint’.

However, Nemesis caught up with the suspects who were later arrested by operatives of the Niger State Police Command.
During interrogation, one of them confessed that they used a toy gun for the robbery, while another said it was he who locked the occupants of the house inside a toilet before they drove off.

The Niger State Police spokesman, Wasiu Abiodun, confirmed the robbery incident but disclosed that the car was recovered while investigations were ongoing.
He also assured that efforts to arrest one of the fleeing suspects were ongoing.
