A Nigerian activist Rinu Oduala has raised serious concerns about the Nigerian Police Force, alleging that some officers engage in criminal activities.
According to Oduala, there are reports of officers kidnapping innocent individuals, holding them in custody, and demanding money under threat of false accusations or charges.
Taking to her X handle on Monday, she wrote “The Nigerian Police Force is filled with armed robbers and kidnappers.
“When they need money, they kidnap Nigerians off the street, put them in cells, take pictures of them with incriminating items, proceed to negotiate for money, and threaten to frame them with a crime or charge them to if they don’t pay.”

“Of course, we are all aware of the kangaroo courts in Nigeria.
“No institution should be emboldened to commit crimes like this in a sane state,” she added.
Her claims suggest a breach of trust within law enforcement and raise questions about fairness in legal proceedings.
