The Governor of Abia State, Alex Otti, recently hosted the Polish Ambassador to Nigeria, Joana Tarnawska, for an official visit aimed at strengthening relations between Poland and Abia State.
The meeting, which also included Abia-born former Polish Government Parliamentarian, Hon. John Abraham Godson, focused on potential collaborations in agriculture, mining, education, and culture.
Governor Otti expressed his delight at Poland’s interest in partnering with the State to develop various sectors and create opportunities for the local population.
He assured the ambassador that “The State is the best place to invest in Nigeria, as we have a vibrant and creative population, a conducive business environment, and a visionary government.”

The governor also extended an invitation to the ambassador to visit Aba, the industrial hub of the South East, to witness the ingenuity and innovation of local artisans and entrepreneurs.
He expressed his belief that “with more support from our foreign partners, we can produce world-class products that can compete favourably in the international market.”
Governor Otti thanked her for her visit and expressed his anticipation for mutually beneficial cooperation between Poland and Abia State.
