Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk issued a warning, stating that Europe is now in a “pre-war era,” and if Russia succeeds in defeating Ukraine, no one in Europe will feel secure.
He used his first foreign interview since returning to office as Polish prime minister at the end of last year to deliver a direct appeal to Europe’s leaders to do more to bolster its defences.
“I don’t want to scare anyone, but war is no longer a concept from the past. It’s real and it started over two years ago,” he said.
His comments came with a fresh wave of Russian missile strikes on Ukraine, signaling an escalation in Russia’s bombardment of the country in recent weeks.

According to Ukraine’s air force, they successfully intercepted 58 drones and 26 missiles overnight into Friday. Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal reported significant damage to energy infrastructure across six regions spanning the west, center, and east of the country.
The Former European Council President Mr. Tusk criticized Russian President Vladimir Putin for baselessly blaming Ukraine for the jihadist attack on Moscow’s Crocus City Hall and noted Putin’s apparent justification for increasingly aggressive assaults on civilian targets within Ukraine.
He also stated that Russia had attacked Kyiv with hypersonic missiles in daylight for the first time earlier this week.
