Renowned journalist Oseni Rufai has criticized Bola Tinubu’s New Year speech, describing it as “flat” and a repetitive cycle of achievements.
In a post shared on X, Rufai questioned the adoption of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) in Nigeria, asking, “How many CNG stations are in Nigeria, and what’s the adoption rate?”
He also expressed skepticism about Tinubu’s proposal for a National Identity Charter, urging leaders to focus on addressing corruption that tarnishes the country’s image.
Rufai tweeted, “The president New year speech was flat. Its the same merry go round, touting achievements like CNG.Lets ask the president how.many CNG stations are in Nigeria and what’s the adoption rate.”
He added, “The president also wants a National Identity charter.Tell him that politicians should stop destroying the image of Nigeria with their corruption. For the national identity of Nigeria to be better, we must know the TRUE Identity of our leaders.”
