Fauziya Buhari-Ado, the Special Assistant to the Governor of Kaduna State on the School Feeding Programme, has called on Nigerians to stay hopeful for a brighter future despite the current hardships.
In a statement signed on Thursday, Buhari-Ado, the Special Assistant to the Governor of Kaduna State made this appeal while being honored as one of the 100 most notable Africans at a Business Investment Summit in Kigali, Rwanda.
She expressed confidence that Nigeria, like other African countries, will overcome its current challenges of underdevelopment.
“Never, never give up. Africa is rich. We have talented people. Let us work together and make a difference in our own small ways. The economic hardship Nigerians are enduring is evident but not unique to our country.
“Yet the world recognises the resilience of Nigerians, as demonstrated by our presence here. Let us pray for our dear country Nigeria and remain positive and hopeful for a brighter future for both our nation and the rest of the continent,” she said.
Fauziya Buhari-Ado, who spoke at the event about the role of women in driving transformative change in society, called for concerted efforts to address the socio-economic challenges facing the African continent.
