The former Rivers State Governor and current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barrister Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has called upon the Church to intercede in prayer for Nigeria and Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Wike made this appeal during a thanksgiving church service held in honor of Tony Okocha, the acting state chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and member of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) board, along with his wife’s birthday celebration.

The service took place at St. Thomas Anglican Church in Rumuigbo, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area.

Wike, acknowledging God’s blessings upon Okocha and his wife, urged the Bishop and congregation to offer prayers for the nation and Tinubu, emphasizing the importance of fulfilling promises made to the Nigerian populace.

In his address, Wike stated, “My Lord Bishop, let me thank you for taking your time to preside over this thanksgiving service in honouring our brother who God has blessed in various ways, and to his wife who God has added another one year to her life today.

“I want also to ask you to pray for Nigeria and Mr President so that all the promises he made will be kept,” he added.
