We Must Not Be Tired of Praying; Prayers Can Solve Nigeria’s Challenges, Says Cherubim and Seraphim Supreme Head

The Supreme Head of the Cherubim and Seraphim Agbojesu Conference Worldwide, Samuel Ajayi, has emphasized the power of prayer in addressing Nigeria’s challenges, urging citizens to remain steadfast in their spiritual efforts for the country’s leadership.

Speaking at the church’s Annual General Convention in Oyo State, Ajayi highlighted the importance of combining physical efforts with spiritual backing to tackle the nation’s socio-economic issues.

He said, “Beyond the physical approach needed to tackle the nation’s socio-economic challenges, we must not be tired of praying for its progress. We should also pray for the wisdom and fear of God upon those elected to lead us. They need our spiritual backing at this crucial time.”

Drawing a parallel with the biblical experiences of the Israelites, Ajayi expressed optimism about Nigeria’s future.

“During their time, everything seemed impossible, but God intervened, and their situation changed for the better. God will do the same for Nigeria,” he added.

The clergyman also acknowledged the progress made by the Cherubim and Seraphim Conference, celebrating its significant growth over the past year. He noted the church’s plans for its forthcoming Agelu ascension pilgrimage in July and next year’s convention in Iseyin, Oyo State.

“We give glory to God for the church’s growth ahead of our forthcoming Agelu ascension pilgrimage in July and next year’s convention in Iseyin, Oyo State,” he said.

Additionally, Francis Okhiria, Chairman of the USA and Canada Sub-conference, called for unity within the Cherubim and Seraphim church as it prepares for its centennial celebration. He encouraged members to embrace diversity, stating, “C&S have different denominations now, so we should build on that diversity. We are all one, and we have everything in common coming from the church founder, St Moses Orimolade Tunolase.”

The convention highlighted the church’s continued commitment to spiritual and social growth while addressing Nigeria’s pressing challenges through faith and prayer.
