Peter Obi has emphasized that dedication, commitment to health and education, and efforts to lift people out of poverty are crucial for national development.
His remarks came during a visit to Our Lady of Lourdes College of Nursing Sciences, Ihiala, Anambra State where he announced a donation of ₦10 million to support the institution’s ongoing efforts.
During his visit, Obi reviewed the institution’s progress and expressed satisfaction with the positive impact of his previous ₦20 million donation.
He announced an additional ₦10 million donation to further support the college’s development and assured officials of his continued backing.
While emphasizing the importance of investing in critical sectors, Obi stated that supporting healthcare and education is vital for uplifting the vulnerable and underprivileged.
He reiterated his pledge to facilitate measurable improvements in these key areas that directly affect people’s lives.
Obi commended the hospital for its significant contributions to healthcare advancement in Nigeria.
Similarly, Obi expressed gratitude to Sir Emeka Okwuosa and the VOOM Foundation for their efforts in establishing a world-class medical facility.
He called for collective action among Nigerians to address the needs of the vulnerable and underprivileged and to work together towards building a new and better Nigeria.
