The General Overseer of Goshen Freedom Tabernacle (GFT), Prophet Austin Ariole, has staunchly rejected the British Broadcasting Corporation’s (BBC) investigation into the late Lagos Cleric, Prophet Temitope Joshua, popularly known as T.B. Joshua.
During a service in Effurun, Delta State, Prophet Ariole asserted that the probe “cannot hold water” and called on the media to refrain from scrutinizing the actions of the deceased.
Prophet Ariole challenged the BBC to redirect their investigative efforts towards the Catholic Church, specifically mentioning the Pope’s statement supporting gay marriages and churches that endorse masturbation.
The cleric stated, “Go and probe the Pope that said they can entertain gay marriages. There are churches that have upheld masturbation. Go and check.”
Prophet Ariole maintained that when the late T.B. Joshua was alive, he did good and fed the hungry ones, yet “today, they want to probe the dead.”
Expressing bewilderment, Prophet Ariole questioned, “What kind of popularity do Bisola and all those accusers want?”
He urged believers to focus on their own judgment day, emphasizing that religious leaders like Papa Adeboye and Bishop Oyedepo, along with himself, would face divine judgment.
”my concern is Papa Adeboye will be judged. Bishop Oyedepo will be judged. I will be judged. You will be judged that day. We will see the ones that God will say depart from me. It’s not by power. It’s not by might. There’s a book of life that will be opened,” Ariole added.
