The city of Kano witnessed a protest on Wednesday as demonstrators took to the streets, over the contradicting Appeal Court judgment, prompting the intervention of the Kano State Police.
The unrest which took place around the Kofar DanAgundi area in Kano Municipal was triggered by a conflicting Certified True Copy (CTC) of the Court of Appeal judgment regarding the state governorship election.
Tensions escalated after the CTC surfaced, revealing disparities with the initial judgment pronounced in court last Friday. The discrepancy in the documents has fueled uncertainty and raised questions among the public.
