A young boy has been shot and killed by members of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) in the Kubwa area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) as the #EndBadGovernance protest enters its third day.
The incident occurred near the Zenith Bank area of Kubwa.
According to eyewitnesses, the boy was not part of the protest and was merely passing by when he was shot at close range by the police.
An eyewitness recounted the moment, saying, “The boy was not part of the protesters, he was coming on his own after the police had pointed guns at us from a different position.”
Activist lawyer Deji Adeyanju condemned the incident, describing it as an unprovoked murder.
Adeyanju stated that the boy was just observing the protesters when he was shot.
In a message to the DAILY POST, Adeyanju said, “IGP Kayode Egbetokun and his bloodthirsty men should come and eat the meat of this innocent young guy shot on the neck at close range at Kubwa by Zenith Bank.
“Clearly, this is an unprovoked murder as the boy was just sight-seeing the protesters of #EndBadGovernance before this ugly end,” he added.
