Three protesters arraigned by the Nigerian government for their alleged participation in the August 1-10 nationwide protests tagged #EndBadGovernance, to demand good governance, has finally regained their freedom.
The freed activists are; Michael Tobiloba Adaramoye “Lenin”, Mosiu Sadiq and Comrade Opaluwa Eleojo Simeon.
Recall that Lenin was arrested by the DSS around 2 am on August 5, 2024 at his residence in the Apo area of the FCT.
Confirming their release, another activist, Francis Nwapa, said, “Comrade Michael Adaramoye Lenin, the National Coordinator of Youth Rights Campaign, YRC, and Mosiu Sodiq has just left Kuje Prison. Thank you all for the solidarity! We will continue to push till everyone is released. Solidarity,” he said.

Further confirming their release, human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore shared a post on his X handle.
The post reads,”Three of our comrades who’ve languished in prison for partaking in the #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria revolt have just fulfilled their bail conditions, and out of Kuje prison cells.
“They are: 1. Michael Tobiloba Adaramoye “Lenin” 2. Mosiu Sadiq 3. Comrade Opaluwa Eleojo Simeon. We eagerly await the final release of others, including Isaac Bristol@PIDOMNIGERIA, as soon as possible.”
