EndBadGovernance: Protesters Denounce Tinubu’s ‘Nigeria We Hail Thee’ Anthem, Chant ‘Arise O Compatriots’

Protesters in Port Harcourt, participating in the #EndBadGovernance movement, rejected Chief Bola Tinubu’s reintroduced national anthem, “Nigeria, We Hail Thee,” and instead recited the now-defunct “Arise O Compatriots.”

The federal government reintroduced the latter anthem a few months ago, with Tinubu officially reinstating it on May 29, 2024.
