The #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protests have now reached the residence of former Governor Nyesom Wike in Port Harcourt.
Wike, currently the Federal Capital Territory Minister, had strongly opposed the protests in the Nigerian capital.
Although the demonstrations have lessened in the FCT, they are gaining momentum in Wike’s home state.
They gathered at the former governor’s mansion in the state capital as they entered their sixth day.
In response, the Nigerian Police Force has deployed additional personnel to the area to maintain order and ensure everyone’s safety.
On the first day of the demostration, demonstrators stormed the Government House and publicly embarrassed Governor Sim Fubara, who attempted to offer them money for ‘pure water.’
