Protests Are Constitutional Right; Even Tinubu Has Exercised It Several Times In Past Without Restraint – Chidi Mokeme

Renowned Nigerian actor, Chidi Mokeme, famous for Gulder Ultimate Search and Shanty Town, asserted that protests are a fundamental right enshrined in the constitution, reminding Nigerian citizens that even Chief Bola Tinubu has exercised this right without interference.

Mokeme made this statement on his X-handle, underscoring the duty of the police to safeguard lives and properties, including those of legitimate protesters.

He stated that if there is intelligence suggesting potential disruptions by unscrupulous elements, it is the responsibility of security agencies to protect protesters, identify troublemakers, and ensure they face justice.
