According to La Liga president Javier Tebas, Kylian Mbappe, the striker from Paris Saint-Germain, is set to move to Real Madrid next season.
Mbappe, the 25-year-old captain of France, recently declared his departure from PSG at the conclusion of his contract this summer, though he didn’t disclose his next destination.
Madrid seems ready to secure his signature after numerous unsuccessful pursuits in previous years.
“He’s Madrid’s next season, yes,” Tebas told Argentine daily sports newspaper Ole on Monday.
“If they’ve signed a five-year deal, he has five seasons of opportunity (to win the Champions League).”
Mbappe is poised to join a formidable Madrid squad, spearheaded by Brazil’s Vinicius Junior and England’s Jude Bellingham. Los Blancos comfortably clinched the Spanish title and are gearing up for the Champions League final showdown at Wembley against Borussia Dortmund on June 1st.

“(Mbappe) is one of the best players in the world, but Vinicius and Bellingham are there too, Madrid will have a great squad,” continued Tebas. “But that does not guarantee you will win leagues.”
Mbappe holds the title of PSG’s highest-ever goal scorer, tallying an impressive 256 goals since his transfer from Monaco in 2017 for a staggering 180 million euros ($194 million).
During his tenure, he clinched six French league titles, yet the elusive Champions League glory slipped through PSG’s grasp, culminating in a runner-up position against Bayern Munich in 2020.
Now, by potentially joining the ranks of Real Madrid, boasting a record 14 Champions League victories, Mbappe could significantly enhance his prospects of seizing football’s ultimate club honor.
