Super Falcons Jet Out for South Africa Sunday Night

On Sunday night, the Super Falcons of Nigeria are scheduled to depart from their home country for the second leg of their 2024 Olympic Games qualifier against South Africa.

Accompanied by their officials, the team will embark on their journey to South Africa via the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

Having secured a 1-0 lead in the initial encounter, Nigeria looks to maintain their advantage in the upcoming match in Pretoria, scheduled for Tuesday.

The victor of this contest will secure one of Africa’s two spots for the women’s football event at Paris 2024. The other spot is contested between the Copper Queens of Zambia and the Atlas Lionesses of Morocco.

It has been 16 years since the Super Falcons last participated in the Olympics, with their last appearance dating back to Beijing 2008 in China.
