Transfer: Real Madrid ‘Regrets’ Signing Mbappe After Disappointing Start

Real Madrid are reportedly regretting their decision to sign Kylian Mbappe, who joined the club last summer as a free agent after leaving Paris Saint-Germain.

Despite scoring seven goals in 11 games for the LaLiga giants, the 25-year-old forward’s performances have not lived up to expectations.

According to journalist Romain Molina, who spoke off the record about the situation, the club is disappointed with Mbappe’s form and the overall atmosphere in the dressing room.

Molina also suggested that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez was the driving force behind the signing, with the club now expressing regret over the decision.

The journalist told Colininterview, “They regret bringing him in. I guarantee that. I have spoken about it off (the record).

“It hasn’t been at all what they were expecting. It was a whim of [Florentino] Perez. It was only Perez that wanted him.

“The club are gutted, firstly with his level (of performances), which is not at all at the expected levels, in the dressing room it isn’t great, that isn’t necessarily Mbappe’s fault though,” he added.
