Remi Tinubu Donates $100,000 for Medical Center in Sierra Leone

Senator Remi Tinubu, has made a generous donation of $100,000 to improve the healthcare situation in Sierra Leone.

The donation will go toward the construction of a modern medical center in the country, which will cater to the needs of the people there.

According to Sierraloaded, a Sierra Leonean newspaper, Senator Tinubu’s contribution was in line with her commitment to “providing a first-class medical center for Nigerians in Sierra Leone”.

The press statement from the organization behind the project, Nigerians in Diaspora, Sierra Leone Chapter (NIDO, SL), also praised Senator Tinubu for her support and generosity.

The president of NIDO, SL, Abiodun Oyebola, said that he had personally appealed to Senator Tinubu for her assistance, highlighting the poor state of healthcare infrastructure in Sierra Leone.

He said that the NIDO MEDICAL CENTRE would be a “state-of-the-art” facility that would address the “urgent healthcare requirements” of the Nigerian community in Sierra Leone.

The donation of $100,000 is expected to have a significant impact on the realization of the NIDO MEDICAL CENTRE, which is scheduled to be completed by the end of the year.

The medical center will offer a range of services, including primary care, maternity care, laboratory tests, pharmacy, and emergency care. It will also serve as a hub for health education and awareness campaigns for Nigerians in Sierra Leone.
