American rapper, William Leonard Roberts II, popularly known as Rick Ross, renowned for his impactful presence in the hip-hop scene, has hinted at an extensive collaboration with several African musicians. Including; Portable, Odumodublvck, Asake, Amaarea, Uncle Waffles.
In a recent video posted on his Instagram page, the Maybach Music head hinted at these potential partnerships.
He equally expressed his deep affection for Africa, citing years of touring and a profound appreciation for the continent’s diverse culture, food, and fashion.
In the video, Ross unveiled his ambitious plan to create a collaborative album featuring himself, key industry figure Brett Berish, and a lineup of talented African artists and producers.
The rapper emphasized his desire to bring heightened attention to Africa’s vibrant music scene.
Among the African artistes mentioned were Ghana’s Stonebwoy, Black Sheriff, and South Africa’s Nasty C.
He stated, “I have a got a huge announcement. First and foremost I love Africa. I have touring Africa for the last 15 years. I have been to over 13 different countries in Africa. I love the food, the culture. I love the fashion. And the world loves the music.
“So what I want to do is to bring more attention to Africa. Let us do a huge collaboration album. Myself, Brett Berish, all the amazing artistes in Africa, amazing producers, let us collaborate.
“I have been speaking on this for the last several years. It is time for Africa. I am ready to plant the flag big. I just want to help bring attention to Africa and all the amazing artistes. I just want to show love to African artiste.
“Let us start with Odumodublvck, Nigeria; Amaraae, Ghana; Uncle Waffles, South Africa, Portable, Nigeria; ElGrandeToto Morroco, Harmonize, Tanzania; Innoss’B, Congo; Camo, South Africa.”
This initiative follows Ross’s previous successful collaborations with African artists such as P-Square, Yemi Alade, and Tanzania’s Diamond Platnumz.

Renowned for his distinctive vocal style and vivid lyricism, Rick Ross aims to make a significant mark by amplifying the voices of African musicians in the international music scene.
Notably, prior to his breakthrough with the debut single ‘Hustlin’ in March 2006, Ross found himself in a bidding war, receiving offers from industry giants like Diddy’s Bad Boy Entertainment and Irv Gotti’s Murder Inc.
