In response to Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s New Year speech, former federal lawmaker Shehu Sani has drawn a parallel, stating that the promises made are akin to a native doctor’s assurances to a sick person.

While acknowledging the positive tone of the speech, Sani pointed out the absence of specific timelines for the proposed initiatives, emphasising the need for concrete implementation plans.

Tinubu had outlined intentions to ensure a steady supply of affordable food, reliable power, and petroleum products, expressing commitment to alleviating the challenges faced by Nigerians.
