A social media commentator, Sarki Sulieman, has condemned the deliberate incitement by international Islamic preachers against Nigerian Christians during various public sermons.
In a post on X, he blamed some Islamic adherents for the spread of extremist and segregationist teachings that target Christianity.
According to him, these inflammatory remarks have resulted in the massacre of Christians living in Northern Nigeria.
“You can deny all the genocide against Christians in Nigeria, but the truth remains the truth, you can’t keep inviting religious extremists into our country to hold lectures that poison your minds against Christians and still make us believe you don’t support the killing of Christians.”

Some other observers have suggested that all foreign Muslim scholars visiting Nigeria must be made to sign a declaration condemning extremism before they are allowed to preach at mosques.
